Apep’s Dawn Graphic Novel Panel Development Process

I have been trying to figure out the best way to approach creating the graphic novel version of Apep’s Dawn. A previous attempt was to use stills from the animation, but it was lacking something doing it that way so I have tried out a new way.

I have used a still as a starting point, and then drawn over the still and added detail/changes to it.

Also, this process has helped me shape the head of the sarcophagus more how I want it, it still needs lots of work, but getting there!!
The original render was made using #kitbash assets except for the mummy and the sarcophagus, they were made in #zbrush rendered in Maya
